Our Lady of Loreto Church

A historic monument in the 9th arrondissement, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church marks the entrance to a commercial and residential 9th arrondissement. Located at the bottom of the rue des Martyrs, in front of the rue de Châteaudun, Notre-Dame-de-Lorette is recognizable by its 4 imposing columns which remind us of ancient Roman temples.

Mogador Theater

The Mogador Theater and its 1600 seats is the largest private theater in the capital. Located in the heart of Paris, in the 9th arrondissement, the Mogador Theatre is an emblematic place for musicals! Built in 1919, with the Anglo-Saxon music halls of London and Broadway as its source of inspiration, it has since hosted Broadway hits such as The Lion King, Grease, Ghost or My First Swan Lake. The Theater is classified as a historical monument, under the impetus of the singer Barbara who was so fond of this place.

The Gustave Moreau Museum

This unique museum in Paris is located in the family home of the famous painter Gustave Moreau. In the Gustave Moreau Museum we find more than 14,000 works in the artist’s studio bequeathed to the State before his death. A special atmosphere in which we have the feeling to be really in the artist’s home: between small rooms overloaded with decoration from his apartment on the second floor to the workshops presenting his works.

Department stores

Over 2.5 kilometers, from boulevard Montmartre to avenue de Friedland, boulevard Haussmann is surely one of the most elegant shopping streets in Paris. Straddling the 8th and 9th arrondissements, it was created during the Second Empire by the famous Baron Haussmann. Today, you can find the famous department stores of Paris, whose windows become absolutely magical at the end of the year, at Christmas time. This is where one of the most famous Parisian stores is located, the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, with its elaborate balconies, its huge Art Nouveau style dome, its spaces dedicated to fashion, and its terrace on the 7th floor, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the capital. The Printemps Haussmann, a true temple of Parisian fashion, is also equipped with a terrace with a superb panorama, and has been listed as a historical monument, in particular thanks to its Art Nouveau façade and its magnificent stained glass dome.

Le café mirette

On the ground floor of the Pernod Ricard Foundation, between the library and the contemporary art space, Franck Baranger and Edouard Bobin, the two bistro owners (Le Pantruche, Caillebotte, Belle Maison, Le Coucou), together with Pauline Labrousse, have created the Café Mirette, named after Paul Ricard’s wife.

A coffee shop that washes whiter than white, but which dazzles above all by its terrace of a papal quietude, in the middle of the Saint-Lazare district. Where the ultra-rodded plates of the above-mentioned establishments are displayed: saithe rillettes with anchovy tarama, radish, samphire and mustard seeds, to be spread on a small luxury of toasted bread; a veal tartare put into orbit by an electrifying cocktail sauce, with pan con tomate and chervil parachutes; or a skate terrine with olives. To be discovered just a few steps from the Philéas.

Gargoyle, the dining cellar

An Art Deco lair displaying large mirrors, luminous orbs and psychedelic tiles, where Arthur Billard gets wet in the dining room, while the arsouilles Marc-Élie Hayek (who worked for Guy Savoy and Contraste) and Jules Behar dabbling in inspired Mediterranean dishes. Taste bricks like in Tunis, containing tuna, potatoes, capers and candied lemon, relax on a dill-lemon yoghurt; baba ganoush with sumac, kefta, Lebanese tabbouleh…

Frenchie Pigalle, signature cuisine

After putting the rue du Nil back on the map of Parisian pleasures with a Sophistroquet, a wine bar and a fast food restaurant, Greg Marchand has set up his latest Frenchie in the Grand Pigalle Hotel. There, in a decor signed by Dorothée Meilichzon, a brigade sends the best egg muffin of all Paris for breakfast, before starting the hostilities for dinner between gourmet snacks and big plates.

Our favorite bars

Lulu white, the speakeasy of the 9th

Marble counter, bottle-green walls, a crown of filament bulbs, a black façade, a discreet door… As for the decor, Lulu White flirts gently with the 1920s New Orleans “claque” style. As for elixirs, Dotan Shalev and Timothée Prangé cultivate the retro style with, for example, Mr. Pinion (vodka infused with fenugreek, Cynar, Benedictine) and Eloïse Bechet (white wine, verjuice, tonic, mint, rosemary, €11). An irresistible address, to be discovered secretly.

SisterMidnight, the bar

Joseph Boley and Jen Riley bring a touch of rock to their Sister Midnight, named after Iggy Pop and David Bowie’s hit. Black lacquer, teal blue, fake leopard and disco ball remind us of the classy glam of Roxy Music, while the playlist is more open bar: The Cramps, Suicide, Talking Heads? For those with a small or large appetite: an Anglo-Saxon-style board with old cheddar, 18-month Comté cheese, fresh radish and pickled egg.
